Nottingham City Libraries have a huge range of popular and classical sound recordings.
The range of music includes:
- Pop, rock, reggae, jazz, country & western, folk, easy listening, world music, Asian classical, classical, opera and ballet.
The biggest collections are at Nottingham Central Library (Music, Sound and Vision Library) and include music on video and DVD.
- Classical, opera, ballet, Asian classical and world music collections are available at Nottingham Central Library (Music, Sound and Vision Library) and at other city libraries.
The latest popular music releases, including recent album chart hits, are in the collections at Nottingham Central Library (Music, Sound and Vision Library) and at Aspley, Bulwell, Clifton, Sherwood, and Wollaton Libraries.
All compact discs are loaned for one week.
A range of music is also available at Strelley Road (CDs only), Hyson Green (includes an Asian collection) and Top Valley Libraries.
Smaller collections are available at Aspley Mobile , Bilborough, St. Ann's and Sneinton Libraries.
A charge is made for borrowing sound recordings and for making reservations, unless you are exempt from paying.
Music sound recordings are on the library catalogue. You may also search for items held by Nottinghamshire County Library.
We are happy to receive suggestions for stock. Although we may not be able to purchase all of them, we promise to consider them carefully.
