There’s loads of fab stuff going on at your library for under 5s from babies up to pre – schoolers – just pop in and find out! We’ve got a great selection of books for young children and there are no fines for under 5s so no need to worry if you child chews on a book or you miss a due date as there’s nothing to pay!

We also have collections of early learning books plus a selection of books in different languages and tons of parenting books from planning a party to health issues.

Each library has a children’s area where you can find all these things and your child is welcome to play and explore. Many libraries now have toys too.

All libraries also have a totstime which is a free session of songs, stories and rhymes for under 5s and their parent or carer. Anyone is welcome to turn up and join in the fun!
