• Findmypast.com (Formerly 1837online.com) http://www.findmypast.com - pay-as-you-go site for indexes of births, marriages and deaths from 1837 to the present. Library members have free access to this website in all City libraries.
• FreeBMD - http://www.freebmd.org.uk - a volunteer based project which is adding the GRO Index of Birth, Marriage & Death registrations to the site. Coverage currently 1837 to c.1918. Incomplete. New additions to the site made approximately once a month.
