Local Studies' videos
An increasing number of videos about local people, places, and events, is now available for loan from the Local Studies Library. Many of these have been produced by commercial publishers, or made by local organizations in recent years, but some comprise archival films dating from the 1920s to the 1960s, which have been transferred onto videotape by the Library, to make them accessible for general viewing. When this has not been possible for copyright or other reasons, reference copies of videos can be viewed in the library (please telephone in advance to book).
Subjects featured in the videos include Goose Fair, historic film of Nottingham, local industry, sport and recreation, railways and trams. We are very happy to hear of new videos being produced by local community groups or organizations that we can add to our collection.
