  • Large Print Books. If you have difficulty reading normal sized print, we have a collection of fiction and non-fiction books with very large print.

  • Spoken Word tapes and CDs, including novels and biographies. (Charges may apply)

  • Newspapers and recreational magazines, including a selection in community languages.

  • Books in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Telegu, Chinese and Vietnamese, including reference material covering a wide variety of subjects in these languages.

  • Asian language videos & DVDs. (Charges may apply)

  • Picture books, stories, CD-ROMs, information and reference books for children aged 0-12 years.

  • A collection of books of African Caribbean interest on a variety of subjects. This display is changed regularly and is a small selection of the broad range of material available throughout the Central Library.

  • Books in foreign languages (e.g. French, German, Spanish) for children.

  • Toys to play with in the library.

  • A Parents Collection including books on childcare, activities for children, child illnesses and problems.

  • A teenage collection, including fiction, a wide variety of information books on topics of interest, including careers, skills, relationships and music.
