Nottingham Central Library Update - 18 June 2008
Nottingham Central Library is open to the public except for Local Studies public area, fourth floor, which will remain closed until mid-July
The rest of the building is open, but with the following limitations:
- The central staircase (above floor one), goods lift and disabled lift will remain inaccessible for at least three weeks. Access to floors two and three only by front staircase/lifts. Access for those with disabilities is currently extremely limited
- Men's toilet faciltiies are only available via an accessible toilet on the second floor
This is due to accidental damage to the water pipes which occurred during routine maintenance. Repairs involve the removal and replacement of carpeting, lighting and ceilings on the entire central staircase above floor one.
The building is well signed and staff are on hand to direct the public and provide assistance where necessary. Normal opening hours apply.
