Nottingham Supporting People Providers' Forum

The Forum offers the chance to bring together Providers in Nottingham City. There have been groups of providers meeting for some time, such as the Floating Support Network and the Social Housing Forum SP Sub Group however, up to now there has not been one place where all providers have been able to come together with Supporting People.

The next Providers' Forum is due to take place on 7th October from 9.15am to 12.30pm at Nottingham Ice Arena.

Aims of the Forum

The Providers' Forum will:

• Include all providers in discussions with Supporting People
• Improve working relationships
• Share and develop good practice
• Exchange information
• Co-ordinate activities

The types of issues that could be covered could include move on, outcomes, user involvement, strategy development and review planning.

Setting up the Forum and Working Group

A small working group was set up of a cross section of providers to work with Supporting People to help to plan the first meeting of the Forum.  This group initially planned the format and agenda for the first meeting and at that meeting we talked about how to select working group members in the future.  HLG will be servicing the Working Group meetings.
