This page contains information detailing the processes and groups involved the restructuring of the Floating Support Sector in Nottingham.  The focus for the recommissioning of Floating Support Services in the City includes achieving the best outcomes for service users, addressing unmet need, having better co-ordinated services and delivering the objectives of the 5 Year Strategy.

Supporting People Floating Support Contract Management - Draft Document

The Supporting People Team is developing a process to undertake contract management of new floating support services following the tendering of these services. This process development is included as an action in the SP Annual Plan 2008/09.

We wish to consult with service providers and other stakeholders on the proposed process at this stage and therefore invite feedback on the draft document below. We would be grateful if you would respond to: spteam@nottinghamcity.co.uk with any comments or suggestions by Friday 12th September.

After a thorough evaluation of tenders received to provide the Handyperson Service, we are now able to confirm that Age Concern Nottingham & Nottinghamshire have been selected as preferred provider.

Announcement of latest Floating Support Tenders

After a thorough evaluation of tenders received to provide floating support services to Refugees and People with Mild to Moderate Learning Disabilities, we are now able to confirm that the following organisations have been selected as preferred providers for the provision of the following:

Announcement of Phase 4 Tenders

After a thorough evaluation of tenders received to provide the floating support services tendered in Phase 4 of the floating support commissioning process, we are now able to confirm that the following organisations have been selected as preferred providers for the provision of the following:

Floating Support for Older People StepForward (Metropolitan Support Trust)
Floating Support for People with Mental Health Support Needs Framework Housing Association (on behalf of the Getting Through Consortium)
Forensic Floating Support Service Nottingham Community Housing Association

Tenderers for the floating support service for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities will be notified of the outcome of this tender by 24th September 2007

After a thorough evaluation of tenders received to provide the floating support services tendered in Phase 3 of the floating support commissioning process, we are now able to confirm that the following organisations have been selected as preferred providers for the provision of the following:

After a thorough evaluation of tenders received to provide the floating support services tendered in Phase 2 of the floating support commissioning process, we are now able to confirm that the following organisations have been selected as preferred providers for the provision of the following:

Floating Support for People with Drug Problems Framework Housing Association (on behalf of the 3 Ways Consortium, comprising of Framework HA, Double Impact and Hostels Liaison Group)
Floating Support for Refugees No organisation has been selected as the preferred provider for this service.  The service will be retendered

In the run up to the tendering for floating support contracts, providers /potential providers of FS services have been informed that Supporting People are open to bids from organisations entering into consortia arrangements to fulfill the needs of the service. Floating Support Open Forum 7.02.06

An Open Forum on Floating Support was held on the 7th February 2006 to provide an opportunity for providers / potential providers of FS and the FSAP (a multi agency steering group overseeing the review of the sector) to come together to discuss issues around the recommissioning and future provision of FS in Nottingham.
