The Housing Market Study and Needs Assessment is an important part of the City's Housing Strategy.

It seeks to analyse trends in local housing markets across the city and the wider conurbation, and looks at the need for affordable housing in the City. The research sought to make an estimation of the need for affordable housing in the City, giving close regard to key issues of demand, supply, cost and ability to purchase housing on the open market at prevailing market rates.

Readers will find a vast amount of information about local housing markets, trends, demand for housing and the supply of affordable housing within the document. It is available in .pdf format only due to the number of graphics it uses to illustrate the text.
