The Nottingham Inter-Agency Homelessness Strategy was developed to help the Council and our partner agencies to tackle homelessness and directly related issues and was published in 2003 according to the requirements of the Homelessness Act. Sections of the Strategy are now being reviewed as part of the development of the 2008-13 Homelessness Strategy. This work is being undertaken by the Housing Support Strategy Team and supported by working groups reporting to the Homelessness Strategy Implementation Group (SIG). Completed reviews will be published on this site once concluded and will be incorporated into the 2008-13 Strategy document.

28th July 2008 - Homelessness Strategy Approval
The 2008-13 Homelessness Strategy was approved by Nottingham City Council Executive Board on 22nd July 2008. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all partners including service users for their invaluable assistance in developing the Strategy. We believe that the Strategy will provide the framework by which partners can build on recent successes in alleviating and addressing homelessness, in particular, the further development of preventative provision. 25th June 2008- Homelessness Strategy Consultation
A detailed summary of the feedback received from the Homelessness Strategy consultation period has now been added to the site. The document shows how the feedback has been incorporated into/excluded from the Strategy and reasons as to why. Please click here to go to the page.
29th April 2008 - Nottingham Homeless Review 2007(Final Edition)
The final edition of the Nottingham City Homelessness Review 2007 is now available to download from the Nottingham Inter-Agency Homelessness Strategy area of the website- please click here to go to the page. The Review is a precursor to the forthcoming Homelessness Strategy.
10th March 2008 - Nottingham City Homelessness Strategy 2008-13
A draft version of the Nottingham City Homelessness Strategy 2008-13 is now available for consultation. Click here to visit the Inter-Agency Homelessness Strategy section of this website, where the draft strategy and consultation forms are available for download.
Please note the deadline for submission of feedback is Friday 4th April 2008.
11th December 2007 - Homeless Review - Service Users' Feedback
As part of the Homeless Review, a questionnaire was circulated to users of homelessness services in Nottingham to find out their views on the services they have received.
Results of the questionnaire have now been collected and summarised in a leaflet which has been circulated among service users. 5th September 2007 - Draft Nottingham Homeless Review 2007
The draft Nottingham City Homelessness Review 2007 is now available to download from the Nottingham Inter-Agency Homelessness Strategy area of the website - click here to go straight to the page. The Review is a consultation document which is a precursor to the forthcoming Homelessness Strategy.
Please send your consultation responses, taking into account the questions in the executive summary to hs.strategy@nottinghamcity.gov.uk by the end of September 2007.
22nd August 2007 - Gateway Interim Evaluation

6th August 2007 - Homeless Review Event 11th September 2007
An event open to all stakeholders of the homelessness agenda in Nottingham is planned for the morning of 11th September to discuss the findings of the shortly to be concluded review of the 2003-08 Homelessness Strategy.

July 2007 - Service User Questionnaire
So as to inform the upcoming strategy, we are currently seeking the opinions of people who use services which either support people who are homeless, or prevent people from becoming homeless. If you use or have used any such service, please let us know your views by downloading and completing the questionnaire below.

If you are a service user yourself then feel free to return the questionnaire to the address above in one or two envelopes as you see fit.
May 2007 - Regional Champions
Nottingham has been awarded regional champion status by Communities and Local Government for 'streamlining referral and access arrangements', in part due to work to develop the Homelessness Gateway as a common point of access, needs assessment and referral into short-term accommodation provision, floating support and homeless prevention services. This award follows Nottingham having previously been named regional champions for work in tackling homelessness in July 2006.
