Strategic Housing Market Assessment
In line with the government's guidance in Planning Policy Statement 3: Housing, Nottingham City Council has worked in partnership with the other local authorities which form part of the Nottingham City Housing Market Area (Broxtowe, Erewash Gedling and Rushcliffe) to commission a comprehensive Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA). Its objective is to provide a robust, shared evidence base in relation to the condition of the housing market including housing need and demand in order to inform Local Development Documents, Local Housing Strategies and Regional Spatial Strategies. This study was carried out in accordance with Communities and Local Government's Practice Guidance on Strategic Housing Market Assessments.
