This document represents the most thorough statistical survey of private sector housing stock, both owner occupied and the rented sector, so far undertaken in Nottingham. It was conducted on behalf of a consortium of local authorities within the East Midlands by Professional Partnership Services Group (PPS), using 1863 sample surveys to produce a mathematical projection of the total stock. The survey covers the condition of the stock with particular reference to the Decent Homes Standard and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and relevant information about occupiers. This survey is a key source of policy making information for the City of Nottingham.

This document is the final report of the research commissioned by the Nottinghamshire local authorities of Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark & Sherwood, Nottingham City and Rushcliffe into the accommodation needs of the Gypsy and Traveller community. This work was carried out in partnership with the East Nottinghamshire Travellers Association (ENTA). Local authorities have a statutory duty to assess the accommodation needs of Gypsies and Travellers under the Housing Act 2004.
