As a Nottingham City Council tenant, we are happy for you to carry out certain improvements and alterations to your property.

Write to your local Area Housing Office detailing the works you want to carry out.  You must get permission from us before you carry out any works.

Works must be carried out by a suitably qualified person and you must notify your office once the works have been carried out for them to be inspected and passed.

If you do not have permission you are in breach of your tenancy agreement and will be required to put anything right at your expense.  All Housing Patch Managers carry out regular tenancy visits.
