Nottingham City Council is responsible for providing a number of services to approximately 30,000 tenants and leaseholders of Nottingham City Homes. These include assistance with adaptations and advice on how to save money by reducing energy costs in the home.
We also provide assistance to non-council tenants and owner occupiers with adaptations and energy efficiency matters, a homelessness service and help with housing benefits.
The majority of services to tenants and leaseholders are now provided by Nottingham City Homes, the company created on the 1st April 2005. Nottingham City Homes is the Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) that manages Nottingham City Council’s rented and leasehold homes.
Nottingham City Homes is responsible for the day to day management of approximately 30,000 homes by providing a full tenancy management and repairs service as well as being responsible for looking after approximately 1,000 leasehold tenants.
Nottingham City Homes are a non-profit making organisation run by a Board of non-executive directors made up of councillors, tenants, leaseholders and independent members. All the properties managed by Nottingham City Homes are still wholly owned by Nottingham City Council.
