From spring 2008 people in Nottingham will have a new way to have your say on how
health and social care are run.
Local Involvement Networks (LINks) are going
to be set up in each local authority area. LINks will include individuals, groups of people and voluntary
& community organisations which will be able to affect the ways health and social care are provided
for Nottingham residents.
The Department of Health is providing Nottingham
City Council with £184,000 to fund a LINk host organisation in 2008/09 (the City Council is projected
to receive £183,000 (subject to the addition of inflation) for 2009/10 and £182,000 for 2010/11 (subject to the addition of inflation))
The City Council is seeking tenders
from organisations to be the Local Involvement Network host organisation for Nottingham, or for the
city of Nottingham and county of Nottinghamshire.
Please contact Paul Ritchie,
Corporate Procurement Officer, on 0115 915 4734 or paul.ritchie@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
for a copy of the tender documentation.
The City Council will hold a forum
for organisations interested in becoming the LINk host for Nottingham: more information will appear
on this page and all organisations that request tender documentation will be invited to attend.
The
deadline for tenders is 12pm on 25 January 2008
