Park Closing Times 2008

Some of the large parks are locked at night to maintain the security of the buildings.  All others are left unlocked as this is currently council policy.  Some of the parks are locked at all times due to vandalism and over a period of time these will have all equipment and hard surfaces removed to make an open space play area.

Between 12^th May and 10^th August, bowls and other games will be terminated at 2100 hrs allowing 15 minutes to lock up the facilities and site.

Also note that the opening dates for bowling greens, grass tennis courts and croquet for 2008 will be Saturday 12^th April to Sunday 05^th October inclusive.

The boating lake at Highfields will be open on Saturday 17^th May for weekends only until Sunday 22nd June inclusive.  From Monday 23rd June, this facility will be open all week until Sunday 07th September inclusive.  Opening times are 1130 hrs to 1930 hrs.

Paddling Pools at Victoria Embankment and Main Street, Bulwell will be open on Monday 19th May until Sunday 07th September inclusive.  Opening times are 1130 hrs to 1930 hrs.
Please note: The paddling pool at Victoria Embankment is currently closed for repairs untill further notice. Watch this space for a re-opening date.

Also note that Wollaton Park will be closed at 2145 hrs, between Monday 12^th May to Sunday 10^th August inclusive.

Also note to attendants on bowling green sites – from Monday 11^th August to Sunday 24^th August you may be required to stay for half an hour extra in order for bowls clubs to get their evening matches played.

Victoria Embankment Memorial Garden

The memorial area is closed to the public as the structure beneth is not safe.

A barrier has been put into place because of public safety, as and when the structure has been repaired and made safe the barriers will be removed and will open to the public.
