Fly posting

removing flyposting

Fly Posting

Fly posting is the display of advertising material on buildings and street furniture without the consent of the owner. It is against the law and can occur anywhere but is most common in the city centre.

Our commitments

  • We will prosecute flyposters
  • We will remove fly posting within 48 hours of reporting (unless it is on private property, when it will be removed in co-operation with the owner).

What you can do to help

Report fly posting to the customer service centre on 915 2000 or report it online.

If you see large companies that are using this method to advertise, why not write to them to complain.

There is a new scheme for fly-posting advertising organised by the Enviro-Crime team called – FLY-POSTING DRUMS, these are situated in various location throughout the city and are controlled by the Enviro-Crime team.

If you want to use this scheme then contact Enviro-Crime team on 0115 9156001
