• Ensure your wheeled bin is out by 7.00am (green bin) 6.30am (brown bin) on your collection day. (Please make sure that your bins are put out no earlier than eight hours before the day of collection or left out any more than eight hours after the collection)
  
  
• Ensure that the bin lid shuts properly - You should not overfill your wheeled bin as it could be a health and safety risk
  
  
• Wheeled bins can be used as a tool for burglary or fire, to prevent this please ensure that you collect your bin and return it to your property within 24 hours, otherwise it may be remove.
  
  
• Please make sure that your wheeled bin is presented in a safe place and not causing an obstruction.
  
  
• Please place your bin at the kerbside outside your home.
  
  
• If you live in terraced housing your wheeled bin should be presented at the passageway end that is nearest to your house.
  
  
• If your passageway ends are gated your bins must be placed outside of the gates.
  

I have large items that will not fit in my bin?

If you have items that are to large to fit in your bin you can arrange for a special 'bulky' waste collection to have specified items removed. Please report it online to arrange a collection.

I have more rubbish than will fit in my bin?

You can reduce the amount of waste you put into your rubbish bin by up to 60% by using the recycling services provided.
