Tree Preservation Orders

Trees make a major contribution to the quality of the City's environment as well as benefiting wildlife and improving air quality. The Council has a duty to make provision for the preservation of trees and woodlands in the interests of amenity. There are over 800 Tree Preservation Orders within the city, with many orders protecting more than one tree. The largest single tree preservation order in Nottingham covers trees within The Park, and protects 552 individual trees.
