Using the above link you can search our database of planning applications, and view scanned copies of public documents relating to applications. You can search by street, postcode or by all or part of an application reference number. If the Council has sent you a notification of a planning application near to your property you should use the link above to view the application details. Type the reference number on the notification card into the 'Application Number' box on the subsequent page.

NOTES

There are now over 25,000 applications containing over 460,000 documents viewable on this website and we continue to scan new applications each day. We have scanned records back to 1991, although there are a small number of applications for this period which still remain to be scanned and as such you should not solely rely on the information contained in this system for a full and comprehensive planning history of a property.

You can view application forms, certificates, site location plans, layout plans and elevations and (where an application is decided) decision notices for all scanned planning applications, regardless of whether they are current or decided.

Some applications are duplicated in the weekly and monthly lists and other search result listings because we have recorded them as affecting more than one property address in our property database. If you see an application number listed twice you will be able to view the details by selecting either number - the details are the same.

The system provides a live link with the Council's internal planning application database and is continuously updated. There are always a number of applications in hand waiting to be checked for completeness and others which cannot be registered until additional information has been received, so don't worry if your application does not appear on this week's list. The list is updated dynamically, which means that additional items may be added to the previous week's list. As such, we cannot guarantee the completeness of the list on any particular date.
