businesses in Nottingham.
As you might expect of any good
quality business,
great effort is made by business owners and employees to meet not only the legal standards, but the
industry good practice standards as well.
So when a complaint
is received
about a food business we respond quickly to check the reason. It can be because a new owner does not
understand the law and we will give advice and guidance to help improve the business.
But
sometimes a proprietor may not have taken as much care in the business as we would expect. Food workers
may not have been properly trained; food may not be hygienically displayed or handled.
In
these cases we will take stringent action to bring conditions back into line with legal standards, using
the full weight of the law where necessary.
