A Landlord Liaison Panel was established in the City in June 1996. A group of 12-15 landlords meet with City councillors and officers every two months. Several presentations have already been made by Environmental Health, Housing Benefits, Rent Officers and the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, all of which have led to lively debates. Frank Hardy, former Chair of East Midland Property Owners Ltd (EMPO) and a landlord on the panel, said: "The panel has been a great success and I would like to congratulate the council for its efforts".
