Difficulties and Disabilities
We are committed to developing the effective inclusion of children and young
people in mainstream schools. We believe that children and young people with special educational needs,
learning difficulties and disabilities should be able to fully access social and academic life during
their time in school.
This policy of inclusion means that most children and young people with learning
difficulties and disabilities will be educated in mainstream services, and some of those with the most
complex learning difficulties and disabilities will be educated in a special school.
