Trinity Education Improvement Partnership was formed in 2006 and is the EIP for a family of schools which are linked not by location but by faith - we form a partnership of Catholic schools.
The aim of Trinity EIP is to improve the life chances of our pupils across a wide range of opportunities, including:
- Raising educational standards within our schools
- Personalising provision for children and young people
- Maximising opportunities for our pupils to grow and develop in as many ways as possible.
We have worked in collaboration with our partners to deliver successful projects around science, the arts and Extended Schools. One of our big priorities is English as an Additional Language.
English as an Additional Language (EAL)
We have developed the following package of support for our growing numbers of EAL pupils:
- Delivering training and development opportunities to school staff
- Providing teaching resources and materials
- Establishing a good practice network for staff
- Funding additional Teaching Assistant time for EAL pupils
- Running English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Family Learning classes.
