Each year Nottingham City Council’s Children’s Services produces a plan
of training for those working in the Children’s workforce. With the introduction of Every Child
Matters: Change for Children; services for children have evolved to ensure we are all working together
collaboratively to meet the Government's aim for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances,
to have the support they need to:
- Be healthy
- Stay safe
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well-being
These
are known as the Every Child Matters 5 Outcomes.Training sessions within the plan are aimed to support
practitioners to meet their regulatory responsibilities, and every year we are aim to work closely with
practitioners to provide training and development sessions to meet their individual needs. Our
aim is to improve the outcomes for every child in Nottingham wherever they are cared for.
The Early Years & Childcare Unit provides over 50 courses per year
