Serving Nottingham Better (SNB) is the Council's corporate improvement programme to focus resources on areas that customers tell us we need to improve.  It’s about creating services that are effective, responsive, integrated and continually improving.  It is a key theme of our Corporate Plan and we want to assure the people of Nottingham that their Council is welcoming, achieving and improving.

Through assessment and learning we want to drive improvements to priority areas and make the best use of resources, challenging services to be efficient, culturally appropriate, and prioritised to meet the needs of individuals, families and communities.

The Serving Nottingham Better programme includes priority service areas, corporate improvement areas and preparation for inspections we undergo as part of the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA).  Focusing improvement on priorities will help to improve our CPA score, but more importantly will result in better services in areas that matter most to the people of Nottingham.

We need to use resources more efficiently and effectively to improve value for money, serve children better, help adults to be more independent and improve the quality of social housing.
