Nottingham City Council is a democratic organisation, with 55 councillors representing
electors in the 20 electoral wards in the City of Nottingham. There is a local election every four years
when all 55 seats are contested. Councillors hold regular surgeries in their constituencies to which
members of the public are invited to attend if they have a particular concern which they feel their
local councillor can help them with. Times, dates and venues of ward surgeries are listed here.
Dales Ward
Dales Ward is made up of the following areas: Bentink,
Manvers and Kingston Courts. Newark Crescent, The Windmill, Sneinton Hermitage, Dale and Boulevard and
Colwick Road. Colwick Park Estate, Cardale Road Estate, Bakersfield, Colwick Woods and Country Park.
Also the industrial land betwen the railway and the Trent (Waterside).
On the south it is bordered by the River Trent from Lady Bay Bridge
in the west to the Eastern end of Colwick Country Park. North along the City boundary taking in the
Colwick Park Estate and Colwick Woods through Bakersfield to Carlton Road. It heads west to Linton Rise
where it takes in the streets that join Sneinton Dale until it needs Windmill Lane where it follows
Dale Street to Carlton Road. It then heads back south to the Bridge taking in the bus garage and the
flats.
