Nottingham City Council is a democratic organisation, with 55 councillors representing
electors in the 20 electoral wards in the City of Nottingham. There is a local election every four years
when all 55 seats are contested. Councillors hold regular surgeries in their constituencies to which
members of the public are invited to attend if they have a particular concern which they feel their
local councillor can help them with. Times, dates and venues of ward surgeries are listed here.
Sherwood Ward
Sherwood Ward includes all of the properties in the triangle formed
by Hucknall Road, Mansfield Road and Valley Road, as well as Edwards Lane estate, the City Hospital
campus, and the area to the east of the City Hospital known as “the Dales”. In addition, the area to
the east of Mansfield Road from Trevose Gardens in the north to Private Road in the south is also part
of the Ward.
