Date elected to City Council: 3 May 2007
I was born in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire and attended Brunts Grammar School, Mansfield, I then went on to study fashion design.
I became involved in politics and was elected as a Councillor in my early twenties. After serving a term on the Council I left to raise a family but remained involved in community and voluntary groups. I now spend alot of time helping to look after my three grandchildren, and in my free time I enjoy gardening, cycling and reading.
