However, we will endeavour to try to move your meeting into one of the other rooms if they are available. If this is not feasible we will try to give you as much notice as possible and a full refund.
The Committee Room
Located on the second floor the Committee Room is the main room where most of the important decisions are made by the Executive Board and various committees. The main feature of this room is the horseshoe shaped walnut veneer table and a number of paintings of Nottingham by local artist Thomas Hammond.

The Council Chamber
The Council Chamber has fixed seating and is where the 55 Councillors meet throughout the year. The seating is arranged in a semi-circle, so that no-one is more than 26 feet from the Lord Mayor’s chair. High above his dais is a panel bearing two Latin inscriptions. They proclaim: 'Laws are made for the welfare of the citizens and the city' and 'It is the highest justice to give each man his due'. This atmospheric room is suited to debating, presentations to smaller audiences, even for televisions dramas that require a courtroom setting!
Holds:
- 77 people amphitheatre style, with additional seating in the public and press galleries.
We do not have parking facilities at the Council House, but car parks are located near by. Please click here to view a map of car parking within the city centre.
