Statistics 2007-2008

Last Year the City of Nottingham Registration Service registered the following:

• Births 10056
• Deaths 5161
• Marriages 626
• Civil Partnerships 35
• Notices of Marriage and Civil Partnerships 2318

We also:

• issued over 57934 certificates
• performed 106 Citizenship Ceremonies, and
• welcomed 1022 new adult British Citizens!

Performance

We aim to offer:

• a birth appointment within 3 days
• a death appointment within 2 days
• a notice of marriage or Civil Partnership within 5 days
• to see you within 10 minutes of your appointment time

Last month (August 2008) this is how we performed:

• of all appointments 98.7% were seen within the above number of days and 99.78% were seen within 10 minutes
• we registered 71% of our Deaths and 10% of Births at our Hospitals (Queens Medical Centre and the City Hospital) - a service we introduced early this year
