Naming Ceremonies are conducted by one of our experienced Celebrants and you will have the opportunity to tailor the ceremony to your particular needs. A Commemorative Certificate will be presented at the end of the ceremony.

Naming Ceremonies for Babies & Children

A Naming Ceremony is a very special way to welcome a new arrival (or older children) to your family.

The Ceremony is an opportunity to announce the names chosen for the child. Parents can make promises of commitment to them and Grandparents, Relatives and Friends can pledge a special relationship with them.

The fee for these ceremonies at the Register Office is £100 (Monday to Saturdays only).

If you prefer we can arrange for an experienced celebrant to attend an Approved Premises within the City of Nottingham to conduct your ceremony. (The fees to attend are £240 Monday-Thursday, £250 for Saturdays, and £320 for Sundays and Bank Holidays).
