Cost of certificates and general searches

1. From the Registrar who registered the birth, death or marriage (i.e. still in a current register):

• Standard Certificate £3.50
• Short Birth Certificate £3.50

(Certificates are available from the Registrar only at the time of registration or shortly afterwards. Once a register is filled it is passed to the Superintendent Registrar and certificates are no longer available from the Registrar).

2. From the Superintendent Registrar:

• Standard Certificate £7.00
• Short Birth Certificate £5.50

3. General Search of Indexes (by you or your agent) £18.00

Marriage / Civil Partnership fees

• Notice of Marriage £30 each
• Ceremony at Nottingham Register Office £40.00
• Ceremony at one of Nottingham's Approved Premises:-
  £240 Monday to Friday, £250 Saturdays and £320 Sundays and Bank Holidays.
  These fees are subject to change each April- please ring the Register
  Office for confirmation.

Please note that the above fees relate to the payment for the attendance of the registration officers at the ceremony and do not include any charges that you may be required to pay to the Approved Premises.
