Open day at WIlford Hill Crematorium - Sunday 9th July 2006
This
year the Annual Open Day at Wilford Hill Crematorium is to take place on Sunday 9th July 2006 from 10.00am
and 3.00pm
During the day, visitors will be able to take a look behind the
scenes of a modern crematorium, and ask any questions they may have. Staff will be on hand to run guided
tours and explain the various procedures and processes.
The event has been
very successful in previous years with large numbers of people attending. Visitors have commented favourably
on the efficiency of operations, the reassurance the experience had given them, and how it had helped
to dispel myths, worries and concerns they had held about cremation.

Open Day 2004 Review
Once again our Wilford Hill Crematorium
Open Day proved a big success
with 204 people taking the opportunity to have a look at the behind the scenes facilities and have the
whole cremation procedure fully explained.
During the day
many visitors expressed their personal thanks to the Crematorium staff that had guided them around and
answered a variety of questions put to them. This has since been confirmed as 73 visitors (return rate
of 35%) completed and returned questionnaires which were distributed to all visitors. These questionnaires
have now been ‘analysed’ and the results can be viewed in MS Word format
44.5kb
The
overall conclusions are that the day was worthwhile, everything was fully explained and that more open
days should be held with the majority having a preference for Sunday.
