The Regional & International Team seeks to strengthen Nottingham’s position as a leading European regional capital.

It takes a leading role in:

• Producing and implementing a strong European and International Strategy
• Managing and developing the City’s relationships with our International partner cities:  Ghent (Belgium),  Harare (Zimbabwe), Karlsruhe (Germany), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Minsk (Belarus), Ningbo (China).
• Supporting and promoting International events and activities across the City Council.
• Raising the city’s profile at the regional, European and International level.
• Increasing Nottingham’s participation in, and ensuring greater benefit from European programmes and strategies.
• Advising on regional and European policy issues
• Asserting a more prominent position for Nottingham as a regional capital, through the Core Cities group and working with partners at the regional level
