Community Development Service

The Community Development service aims to help build cohesive communities and neighbourhoods where people get on with each other.

We have a key role in the Council's contribution to One Nottingham's strategies on community cohesion and community empowerment, strengthening the relationship between the Council and the local voluntary and community sector (known as Compact Plus), improving community centres and the role of community associations. The Single Gateway Unit is also part of the service, which administers the Council's grants and funding to voluntary and community organisations.
