Delivering Services Together
Proposed Bulwell Joint Service Centre
Following on from the success in delivering the City’s first Joint Service Centre in Clifton, and with another under construction in Hyson Green, the Council and its partners are currently developing proposals for a third ambitious Joint Service Centre regeneration scheme in Bulwell. The scheme has the initial interest of the Department for Communities and Local Government and, if successful at approval stage, this will represent a £21 million investment in the Bulwell.
The aim of the centre would be to offer customers easy, convenient and local access to City Council services, including Bulwell Library, youth, play and community services, local GP Practices, Nottingham City NHS clinics and Nottingham City Homes services, all from under one roof. The centre would be fully accessible to the physically impaired and provide bookable community spaces and public toilets. The new build would also provide the Council with the opportunity to regenerate an area of Bulwell that will enhance the environment of local residents and the commercial district shopping centre.
The partnership between Nottingham City Council, Nottingham City Primary Care Trust and GNLIFTCo are fundamental in the success of this vision for delivering services in this joined-up way.

How to get involved
A community advisory group has been established to provide a link between the local community and the team responsible for the development of the centre, to ensure that the views of local people are taken into account at all stages of the project. Initially the group is made up of representatives from local tenant’s and resident’s groups. If you would like any further information on the community advisory group, please click here to visit our friends page.
