Property Ambassadors building plans
for the future
This year’s Nottingham Property Ambassadors
Charity Dinner was bigger than ever, the event was held to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s nominated
charities and to unite Nottingham Property Ambassadors
Over 300 people attended
the event, co-hosted by Nottingham City Council and Gleeds, which featured special guest speakers including
Nottingham-born former Chairman of English Heritage, Sir Neil Cossons OBE. Former England and
British Lion International Martin Bayfield was a highly entertaining MC and was joined on stage by England
Rugby Cup winning hero Jason Leonard OBE.
During the event Nottingham Property
Ambassadors highlighted regeneration activity in Nottingham and were updated on future sponsorship packages
and promotional activity for the city.
Jane Todd, Chief
Executive of Nottingham
City Council who welcomed guests at the event, said: “I feel it is extremely important to celebrate
a continuing success story for Nottingham – to reflect on our achievements and share our ambitions for
this fantastic city whose future prosperity we all have a stake in.
“I never
cease to be inspired by the skill, commitment, creativity and sheer hard work that our local public
and private sector organisations invest in ensuring that Nottingham stays competitive and retains its
status as one of England’s economic powerhouses.”
Jane
also announced that she was proud to be part of next year’s Team Nottingham at MIPIM in 2009 and encouraged
new and existing businesses to join her to raise their own and Nottingham’s profile next March.
MIPIM
2009 Sponsorship brochures were launched on the night and guests had the option to register for the
new Nottingham Regeneration Magazine, the Nottingham Property Activity Report, the Nottingham Property
Ambassadors Scheme and plans for the Nottingham Property Forum.
Guests
had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and successfully raised £3,019 for the Lord Mayor’s three nominated
charities Childcare Advocacy International, The Nottingham University Hospitals Charity and Midland
Doctors Association.
