Nottingham City Council, in response to challenges facing both the Construction Industry (Egan Report Rethinking Construction), and Local Authorities, (Local Government Act 2000 Best Value in the delivery of our services) has reviewed the Code of Practice for Employment and Training in the construction industry.

Our primary purpose is to create a tool which to assist us to achieve common goals within the construction sector and to enable the Local Authority and other clients to pay a full and active part as partners contributing to the modernising process within the construction sector.
