Direct Debit

By far the best way to pay Council Tax is by Direct Debit and now you don't even need to complete any forms to do so. Just call 0115 9154851 and have your bank details ready. If you prefer, you can print a mandate which can be returned in the post. Once we have received your instruction, we will make arrangements with your bank and send you a revised bill. The first montly instalment under the Direct Debit plan will always be at least 10 working days after we send you the bill. .

Online payments

Accounts can be paid online via the Nottingham City Council 24-hour secure Internet payments service. You may make a variety of payments using this secure site with most major credit or debit cards. Click here for information on how to make a payment online.

Post Office Payments

If a Bar Code is printed on your bill, payment may be made at any Post Office in cash, by cheque or with a Debit Card. There is no charge for this service.

PayPoint

If a Bar Code is printed on your bill, payment may be made in cash at any outlet displaying the PayPoint logo. There is no charge for this service. Details of your local outlet can be found at the PayPoint website

In Person

You may pay your Council Tax in person at our Contact Centre, Burton Street Nottingham NG1 2DE. Opening times are 8:15 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.

You can also pay at any of the following housing offices run by Nottingham City Homes Ltd  They are open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm except Wednesday when opening hours are 10:00am to 4:30pm.
