The Markets and Fairs service organise and manage the outdoor and retail markets held in the city. It is responsible for the licensing of all markets fairs within a specified distance of the city centre. Nottingham's Goose Fair, the largest travelling fair in Europe, is organised by this service and takes place in early October each year on the Forest Recreation Ground. Markets are held in the following locations:
