Welcome to the Licensing Act 2003 which incorporates the following activities some
of which were previously licensed separately:
- sale or supply of alcohol
- regulated
entertainment
- provision of late night refreshment (hot food/drink)
The
Licensing Authority is able to issue:
- personal licences (in relation
to the sales of alcohol)
- premises licences
- club premises certificates
- temporary event notices (for ‘one off’ events of up to 499 people)
The
Licensing Act 2003 requires that whenever you provide any licensable activity that you will meet the
following licensing objectives:
- the prevention of crime & disorder
- public
safety
- the prevention of public nuisance
- the protection of children
from harm
