Certain animals are classified as dangerous wild animals and you may require a licence to keep them.  These are listed in the Dangerous Wild Animals Modification Order 1984 and can viewed by clicking on the link below.

Anyone wishing to keep a dangerous wild animal, classified in the list, requires a licence to be issued by the relevant local authority and they must complete an application form. An inspection will take place at the premises where the animal is to be kept, by a veterinary surgeon and Environmental Health Officer.
