Nottingham Central Library is now fully open to the public; some services and floors had been unavailable due to flood damage but full access has now been restored to all parts.

The Local Studies Library on Floor 4 of Nottingham Central Library is a collection of resources describing the changing scene of the local area from earliest times to the present day, the communities affected, prominent individuals and related subjects.
The collection has information about the City of Nottingham specifically, and the County of Nottinghamshire generally.
In addition to the materials highlighted below, the collection includes one copy of virtually every book written about Nottinghamshire people, places and subjects.

Accessing the material
The main Local Studies Collection is housed in a separate area of the 4th Floor, accessible to staff only. A small collection of materials for loan is available, but most of the stock is for use in the library only.Please ask staff at the Enquiry Desk for help in finding what you want.
