About Us

The NCSCB, through its partner agencies, organisations and the wider community, is working to secure the best possible outcomes for the children and young people of Nottingham by protecting them from all forms of abuse and neglect.  This will be achieved by timely intervention, good collaboration, information sharing and the adherence to a culture dependent upon respect, challenge, personal responsibility and accountability.

Its members are senior managers within organisations, who are able to affect decision making processes and change.

The NCSCB and its Partnerships operate within the terms and boundaries of its Constitution and Structure,  with members working to a 2 year Business Plan.

  • Board members are committed to the development of a Participation Strategy, “Safe by Right” during the coming year.  The aim is to improve safeguarding services for the children and young people of Nottingham by engaging them in this sensitive area of work.

Minutes of meetings from 2006 to the present can be accessed via the link on the left, as can Annual Reports which will provide you with useful background and statistical information on safeguarding activity in the city.

If you should need copies of minutes from any of the Partnerships or workstreams shown on the structure chart, please contact Maureen Elliott via the contact page.
