All organisations working with children and young people must ensure they have safe practices and child protection procedures in place. To assist you with this, we are working towards this site being a useful resource for workers and volunteers, as well as a means of communication in order that you can access documentation, training and information.

Changes to the Child Protection Register. As a result of Working Together 2006, from 1st April 2008, new arrangements have been put in place. These changes were implemented by central government to ensure that children who have suffered, or who are believed to be at risk of suffering, significant harm are subject to a Child Protection Plan. Although there is now no "Child Protection Register", all arrangements which were in place prior to this date are continuing. For the full details please read the attached memo..
