This page has been put together especially for children and young people like you. We hope it is useful for you and/or your friends.
It's important that all children feel safe, whether at home, at school or out and about in Nottingham.
Most children and young people do feel safe, but sometimes they may need help from workers like Teachers, Doctors, the Police, Social Workers, volunteers, or a trusted adult, to help them feel safe and happy.
If you, or someone you know, is in immediate danger, call the Police on 999.
If you are concerned for yourself or someone else, but the danger is less immediate, you may want to ring a helpline that is just for children and young people such as:
OR
If you feel you need help because someone is harming you, you can also ring Children's Services in Nottingham and tell them what you are worried about. Tel: 915 5555. You will need to tell the person on the end of the phone what part of the city you live in and then you will be put through to the "duty team" for that area. They will especially want to hear from you if you think you are not safe at home.
If it is the weekend or out of office hours, you can call the Emergency Duty Team on Tel: 915 9299.
At the left hand side of this page, we have created links to more information about things you may be worried about.
If you have any comments about this website, or if there is any information on staying safe you think would be useful to other children, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us via the "contact us" button on the home page.
