Southglade Housing Office -new opening times
From Wednesday 27th August 2008 the Southglade housing office will be open from 2:00 pm until 4:30 pm each day.

The change in the opening hours is part of a two month pilot scheme to assess the potential impact that shorter office opening times would have on our services.   The scheme comes after a reduction in the number of customers accessing our services through the area housing offices. Findings showed Southglade is our least visited housing office.

During the trial period services will continue to run as normal and customers can be assured that they will continue to receive the excellent level of services from staff.

The Office is situated close to Southglade Sports Centre near the Hucknall Road side of Southglade Road and is the first office to be built in the Millennium. The office provides a full housing service including tenancy management.  Rent Account Managers help with rent payment issues.  You can make payments in cash, by cheque or by debit or credit card. All repair requests are dealt with by the Repairs Call Centre (telephone 0115 915 2222).

Properties covered by the office include family housing and flats of varying sizes. The properties in the Mapperley, Sherwood and Edwards Lane area are generally family housing constructed pre WW2. They are particularly sought after due to their size, location and amount of accommodation. There are 2 high rise blocks of flats in the Sherwood area dedicated to sheltered housing for older people. Kingsthorpe Close mainly consists of flats of varying sizes (2-4 bedrooms).
