Local schemes, projects and initiatives the council supports in your area

  • The City Council has recently been shortlisted by the Sustrans Connect2 project to go forward to the next round of the Big Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks.

The idea is to build a Foot and Cycle Bridge across the RiverTrent between Clifton and Beeston. The Bridge would provide people with a more sustainable and healthy way of getting around. It would be built near Beeston Weir and the scheme would also include improvements to public access, cycle routes and footpaths and the local environment.
