Nottingham Green Partnership
The Green Partnership recognises the environmental issues that affect Nottingham, and aims to deliver actions that will reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, increase resilience and improve quality of life. It has responsibility for the environmental priorities identified in the Nottingham Plan, which sets out a vision for Nottingham that has environmental sustainability at its centre.
Role
The Partnership brings together representatives from the public, business, and third sectors, and meets quarterly, to:
- Support the delivery of the Nottingham Energy Strategy, Waste Strategy and Climate Change Strategy and review progress
- Co-ordinate delivery of projects to help meet our city-wide environmental targets and objectives, and share experience
- Commission activity and establish joint-commissioning frameworks where necessary
- Assist other strategic partnerships in understanding how their areas of responsibility can contribute to improving local environmental sustainability and monitor their performance in doing so
- Promote best practice sharing and liaise with other relevant partnerships and bodies
